Heavy Traffic Ahead, Part 1: First Solo

Bill Monroe’s “Heavy Traffic Ahead” is a swingy song in the key of A. You’ll learn two solos, the solo from the original release as well as a solo from an alternate take. The first solo is played out of the A chop chord position while the second is played open. Mike starts by walking you through the first solo, phrase by phrase, giving you advice on fingering and getting the swing feel.
