The Foxhunter’s Jig, Part 1: Melody
This well-known slip jig has four parts and is in the key of D major. Marla uses it to show you how she uses double stops. But before you learn the double stops to play, you have to learn the tune, so Marla walks you through all four parts of “The Foxhunter’s Jig” measure by measure. The third part is the same as the first, but played an octave higher, so you don’t have as much to learn as you might think when attempting a four-part tune.
