Fingerstyle Accompaniment: “Compadres in the Old Sierra Madre,” Part 1

Using the song “Compadres in the Old Sierra Madre,” which comes from Woody Paul of the cowboy swing group Riders in the Sky, Stevie shows you some different ways to accompany yourself (or someone else). Stevie shows you the chord progression of the verse and the bass notes you’ll use for each chord, and then shows you how to mute the bass notes and treble strings for more of a percussive swingy feel and add an alternating bass.
