Home Brew Rag, Part 2 |
It’s unusual to play in the key of Bb in first position on the guitar, but it’s not as difficult as it might seem. After all, the A, D, and G strings are all in the Bb scale, and the fingering in Bb on the A and D strings is similar to the fingering in C on the B and E strings. So, before he walks you through his arrangement of the B part of “Home Brew Rag,” Scott runs through the Bb major scale in open position and shows you some Bb fingerings on the fifth and fourth strings that will probably be familiar from playing in C and the first and second strings.
