Scales up the Neck, Week One |
In this series of workouts, Ethan shows you some ways to play scales in different places on the neck. He starts in the key of C, with a scale in open position and then has you play the scale in the same position but without open strings. This gives you a closed-position scale starting on the root with the third finger. Then he shows you an open-position C major scale starting on the fourth finger (pinky), which will set you up to play a closed-position scale starting with the pinky.
