The polka “The New Roundabout,” which was written by County Cork accordion player Dave Hennessy, is played in A and/or D, so you’ll learn it in both keys. The melody has a limited range and can be played in two octaves in the key of D on the mandolin. Marla starts by teaching you “The New Roundabout” in the key of A.
