The Birds, Part 1: Open-Chord Arrangement |
“The Birds” is a hornpipe in the keys of C and Am (the relative minor of C). You’ll learn to accompany it in dropped-tuning. Flynn shows you an accompaniment with open chords and then a version with closed chords. He starts by reminding you of the rhythmic difference between a hornpipe and reel and the open chords in the key of C. Then walks you through the open-chord accompaniment.
