Bluegrass Fiddling with John Mailander, Part 1
Bluegrass fiddler John Mailander, originally from Southern California, now living in Nashville, Tennessee, is one of the most talented young fiddlers on the scene, as you can hear here and on his first solo album Walking Distance. In his playing you can hear echoes of all the great bluegrass fiddlers, including Kenny Baker, Vassar Clements, and others, and he is also adept at old-time and other styles. He often performs with Tony Trischka, Darol Anger, and Molly Tuttle. He and Brittany get started by playing the bluegrass favorite “Road to Columbus.” johnmailander.com
