Intros and Endings, Part 1: Classic Intros
It's important to kick-off a song or break with a good solid rhythm, so you can set the tempo for the rest of the band. In this lesson, Bill shows you classic intros played by Earl Scruggs, J.D. Crowe, and other great bluegrass players. Because songs start on different notes of the chord—the root, third, and fifth—it's important to know intros that lead into each of these notes, so you can play an appropriate intro for each song. Bill shows you a couple of intros for each note of the chord in the key of G.
