The Skye Boat Song, Part 1: Intervals |
“The Skye Boat Song” is a traditional Scottish song that was written in the late 1800s and was recently used as the theme song for the television series Outlander. Doug uses this tune to introduce the idea of using intervals (thirds, sixths, and tenths), as he did in the dropped-D lesson on “Shenandoah.” Doug shows you how to find thirds, sixths, and tenths in DADGAD in this video.
