Fiddle Tunes in D: “Fisher’s Hornpipe,” Part 4: Harmony
Playing harmony to a fiddle tune can be a fun way for two guitarists, or a guitarist and mandolinist, to create an instant arrangement of a tune. Scott shows you how to create a harmony to a melody and then walks you through his harmony to “Fisher’s Hornpipe.” You can play harmonies above or below a melody, and Scott gives you examples of both, with a harmony to the A part of “Fisher’s Hornpipe” that is above the melody and a B part harmony that is mostly below the melody.
