Peghead Nation Celtic Guitar instructor performs a set of two jigs at the Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration.
The first edition of the Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration was recently held in Santa Barbara, California, and Peghead Nation Celtic Guitar instructor Tony McManus was among the teachers and performers at the event. In this video, Tony plays a set of two contemporary jigs, “Kalyana” (by Eimer Meycock) and “Le Tourment” (by Paul Loyer), on the festival’s concert stage. Tonymcmanus.com
Tony will also join Peghead Nation at the upcoming Fretboard Summit, which will be held on October 14–16 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, California. He will teach two workshops in the Peghead Nation Room: Celtic Fingerstyle Guitar, at 3:30 pm on Friday, October 14, and Alternate Tunings in Celtic Music at 2 pm on Saturday, October 15.
Peghead Nation will also present workshops at the Fretboard Summit with Matt Munisteri (Hot Jazz Guitar), Courtney Hartman (Solo Flatpicking Accompaniment), Mark Goldenberg (Fingerstyle Jazz), Eric Skye (Improvising for Solo Guitarists), Joe K. Walsh and Grant Gordy (Arranging for a Duet), and Scott Nygaard (Bluegrass Guitar Soloing).
