Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley: “Friend of the Devil” | Taylor Guitars

The guitar and dobro duo stretch out on the Grateful Dead favorite, live at the Taylor Guitars NAMM booth.

Guitar virtuoso Trey Hensley and dobro wizard Rob Ickes have been performing together for several years, thrilling audiences around the world with their powerful live performances of traditional and original acoustic music. They’ve recorded three acclaimed albums, the latest, World Full of Blues released this fall. 

In early 2019, Rob and Trey visited the Taylor Guitars booth at the NAMM show, and played this rousing version of the Grateful Dead’s classic tune, “Friend of the Devil,” which they recorded on their previous album, The Country Blues.Trey is playing a Taylor Builder’s Edition 717.
