Shubb Capos | Roger Tallroth and Olov Johansson | “Bison Polska”
Members of Väsen play an octave mandolin and nyckelharpa version of an original polska.
Väsen is a Swedish acoustic trio, with Roger Tallroth (a Shubb Capos endorser) on 12-string guitar, Olav Johansson on nyckelharpa, and Mikael Marin on viola. They‘ve been together for over 25 years, touring and recording widely. Earlier this year, Väsen played Winterfest in Seattle, and Shubb Capos was on hand for the weekend, capturing video of special performances like this one of Roger and Olov playing one of Olov’s original tunes, “Bison Polska.”
Roger is playing a new Northfield Flat Top Octave Mandolin here, which perfectly compliments Olov’s dynamic nyckelharpa playing.
