Ryan Boldt | Martin Guitars

The Deep Dark Woods leader performs on a pair of all-mahogany guitars as part of Martin's Jam on the Road series.

Originally from Saskatchewan and now based on the east coast of Canada, The Deep Dark Woods alt-folk stylings have won the band several Canadian Folk Music and Western Canadian Music Artistic awards. The band’s 2017 album Changing Faces was nominated for a JUNO award. In this video, shot in a friend’s home studio in the Netherlands for Martin’s Jam on the Road series, The Deep Dark Woods leader, singer, and guitarist Ryan Boldt talks about his favorite pair of Martins (a recent 000-15 and a 1943 00-17, both of which feature all-mahogany bodies) and performs solo versions of a couple of the band’s songs.
