November 15, 2017
Billy Strings is a flatpicker and songwriter whose musical tastes are steeped in both traditional bluegrass and the heavy metal music of his early playing days. He recently released Turmoil and Tinfoil, his first solo album, and you hear elements of all of his influences throughout this high-energy record.
In this video from Music City Roots Live at the Factory, Billy and his band play the title track to Turmoil and Tinfoil, with Billy on his mahogany dreadnought made by Preston Thompson Guitars.
