Northfield Mandolins has been gathering the eight-string faithful in the town of Marshall, Michigan every year for the Marshall Mandolin Summit, a weekend of amazing concerts and workshops with some of the finest mandolinists in the world. In 2019, that lineup included jazz great Don Stiernberg and bluegrass master (and Peghead Nation instructor) John Reischman, who took the stage together to play this stunning two-mando version of Charlie Parker’s famed “Yardbird Suite.” Enjoy, and get to the Marshall Mandolin Summit when we’re next able to travel!
