The flatpicking virtuoso performs the Bill Monroe classic on a Collings D2 A Hill Country.

Flatpicking virtuoso Jake Workman was on the teaching staff of this year’s Blue Ridge Guitar Camp in Brevard, North Carolina. Collings Guitars was on site with a selection of instruments, and in this video, Jake plays the Bill Monroe classic “Wheel Hoss” on a prototype D2 A Hill Country model built with an Adirondack spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Slated for release later this year, the Hill Country line is designed to offer a stronger fundamental tonality than other Collings models, with an overall warm and woody character.
