Jerry Douglas & Tommy Emmanuel: “Halfway Home” | Ear Trumpet Labs

Jerry Douglas and Tommy Emmanuel have been playing a series of exciting co-bills, performing both solo sets and and jaw-dropping dobro and guitar duets. While on a Pacific Northwest swing earlier this year, they stopped by the Ear Trumpet Labs workshop in Portland, Oregon, and played Tommy’s original tune “Halfway Home,” so titled because Tommy says that he always seems halfway home from his home country of Australia no matter where he is on the globe. It’s a beautiful performance from two of the best instrumentalists to put picks and fingers to six strings.
