Benjamin Scheuer | “Golden Castle Town”
Songwriter Benjamin Scheuer plays the latest single from his album “Songs From The LION” on his Froggy Bottom H12.
Songwriter Benjamin Scheuer was recently in San Diego for a month-long run of his hit one-man show called THE LION. That stretch of 8 shows per week overlapped with the second annual Fretboard Summit, a celebration of guitar, lutherie, and guitarists put on by Fretboard Journal. Benjamin stopped by the Fretboard Summit to visit with Peghead Nation and take in the performances, lectures, workshops, and other activities that made for a weekend of guitar fun. While Benjamin was there, he played his song “Golden Castle Town,” which is the latest single off of his album Songs From THE LION.
Benjamin played the song on his Froggy Bottom H12, built with Madagascar rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, and with an engraving of a lion on the heelcap. This guitar was used to record many of the tracks on Songs from THE LION.
Recently, Benjamin collaborated with Andrew Benincasa to create a beautiful animated video for “Golden Castle Town” and you can see that video on Benjamin’s YouTube channel.
