12-String F Model “Victorious” | Santa Cruz Guitar

Guitarist Bill Walker demonstrates an elaborately appointed custom 12-string.

Santa Cruz Guitars is famous for creating guitars that meet the imagination and expectations of its customers. In this video, guitarist Bill Walker demonstrates a Santa Cruz 12-string with custom design options that make for a special one-of-a-kind instrument. Based on the company’s mid-size F model, the instrument, named “Victorious,” was ordered as a cutaway 12-string, built with spiderweb figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top. The guitar has Adirondack spruce bracing with hot hide glue, and maple binding on the body, fingerboard, and peghead. Besides being constructed with the finest materials available, the guitar features extensive inlay, including a custom Tree of Life and Praying Cowboy pattern in the fingerboard, and a collaboration with inlay expert Larry Robinson on the peghead.
