Elderly Instruments presents Jeff Norman demonstrating a new 11-inch open-back Goodtime Artisan banjo made by Deering Banjos. The banjos in the Goodtime Artisan series are replacing the classic Goodtime banjos, and include new features like a brown satin finish, planetary tuners, “Midnight Maple” fingerboard, and mother-of-pearl inlays. The Goodtime Artisan banjo that Jeff demonstrates here has a scooped fingerboard with no tone ring. You can also get this banjo with a tone ring and with a non-scooped neck, and you can choose from many other options as well.
