New England-based mandolinist Ethan Setiawan plays the fiddle tune “Old Grimes” on a great Northfield Flattop Octave Mandolin at the Music Emporium in Lexington, Massachusetts. This instrument is built with an all-walnut body and has a scale length of 22 inches. In this video, the mandolin is recorded using an Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina microphone.
