New Models at NAMM | Martin Guitars
Martin product specialist Mike George shows several of the company's new guitars, at the 2025 NAMM show.
With one of the largest exhibits at the show, Martin Guitars is a major force at NAMM, both in its visibility and number of new instruments. At the recent 2025 show in January, Martin’s news include a “refreshed” Standard series, the addition of a new 17-series, a pair of Billy Strings signature models, an affordable new Retro Plus line, and an eye-catching double-neck, and more. Peghead Nation was able to spend time with product specialist Mike George to shoot some exclusive video of several of the new instruments, and we hope to be featuring in-depth demos in the near future!
Mike George discusses the refreshed Standard series, which now includes Golden Era-inspired bracing, bone or ebony bridge pins, several vintage-correct details, and more.
Available in 000 and dreadnought models, the all-mahogany 17-series is an exciting addition to Martin’s Standard line.
Built in Martin’s Navajoa, Mexico factory, the new Retro Plus models bring a guitar with 18-style features to the affordable Road series.
Martin has worked with modern bluegrass superstar Billy Strings on the D-28 Billy Strings and D-X2E Billy Strings signature models.
The new Grand J-28 E DN is a stunning double-neck based on a six- and 12-string one-off custom guitar that had been used by John Mayer.
