The contemporary fingerstyle star discusses the origins of his playing approach and demonstrates his guitar and pickups.

Jon Gomm is one of the most acclaimed modern fingerstyle guitarists to have emerged in the last decade. Using a combination of alternate tunings, percussive techniques, effects, and occasionally vocals, Gomm has expanded the boundaries of solo guitar performance. In this video interview by Matt Heafy of the band Trivium, Gomm talks about his influences and playing techniques, and he discusses and demonstrates the custom Fishman pickup system in his Ibanez signature model guitar.
