Jackson Wetherbee, “Gimmie Love” | Santa Cruz Guitars

Roots-reggae artist performs his latest single on a Santa Cruz Custom D.

Roots rock, soul, and reggae artist Jackson Wetherbee is a new addition to the family of Santa Cruz players. Having just performed with his band, The Elovators, at the nearby Felton Music Hall, Jackson recently stopped by the Santa Cruz shop, where he played an acoustic version of his band’s latest single, “Gimmie Love.” In this video, the shop performance morphs into footage of the Felton Music Hall show. Jackson plays a Custom D Model built with Indian rosewood and Adirondack spruce. The guitar has a V-neck profile, tapered Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue, Abalone rosette and top border, a 42-style fingerboard inlay, SCGC logo at the 12th fret, torch inlay in the peghead, and a tobacco sunburst top finish. He uses Santa Cruz Parabolic Mid-Tension strings.
