EleOcto with Kym Warner | Northfield Mandolins
The Greencards' Kym Warner demonstrates Northfield's electric octave mandolin.
Northfield’s EleOcto is an innovative instrument that brings octave mandolin sounds into the electric realm. Featuring a chambered body built with a red spruce top and Michigan maple back and sides, the EleOcto has the feel and look of a solid-body instrument. A combination of magnetic and piezo pickup allows for a wide range of sounds, and a 22-inch scale results in familiar octave mandolin playability. In this video, Australian producer, mandolin virtuoso, and founding member of The Greencards Kym Warner demonstrates the EleOcto while set up on stage at Devil’s Backbone Tavern in Fischer, Texas.
