Ebony’s Journey | Taylor Guitars
Watch Taylor's processing of ebony from the forests of Cameroon to completed guitars in California.
Taylor Guitars has operated its own saw mill operation for procuring ebony in Cameroon for several years. Besides being able to source the wood for its own use, the operation has also allowed Taylor to be at the forefront of preservation efforts, which includes the use of striped and figured ebony, as well as massive replanting of trees, and improving working conditions for its employees. This beautifully produced video shows the journey that Taylor’s ebony takes from being cut to being part of a finished guitar.
