David Gilmour Signature Models | Martin Guitar
Fred Greene, and Skip Beltz discuss the development of the Pink Floyd guitarist's pair of D-35s.
Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has long used a 1969 Martin D-35 for much of his acoustic playing, and earlier this year, Martin released a long-awaited pair of signature models. Available in six-string and 12-string versions, the guitars are unusual not only because of their association, but also because they’re the first D-35s built with sinker mahogany back and sides. In this video, Martin Vice President of Product Development, Fred Greene, and Product Director Skip Beltz discuss the process of working with Gilmour and creating the signature models.
