Bourgeois Guitars Behind the Scenes | Soundhole Sizes
Bourgeois Guitar's James Cook discusses the company's OM Large Soundhole.
Inspired by Tony Rice’s legendary modified Martin D-28 (which was formerly owned by Clarence White), Bourgeois Guitars has long offered dreadnoughts with enlarged soundholes. But more recently, the company’s Dana Bourgeois and his team of luthiers have also experimented with different soundhole sizes for other models, which now includes the OM Large Soundhole. In this video, Bourgeois’ James Cook discusses the instrument, and the effects that different soundhole sizes have on an instrument’s tone.
