Andy Power on the new Gold Label | Taylor Guitars

Taylor CEO and designer Andy Powers plays and discusses his latest guitar at NAMM 2025.

Having celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, Taylor Guitars is looking ahead with a new line of guitars that break with the company’s own traditions. The new Gold Label 814e includes a new body shape, new fanned V-Class bracing, an adjustable long-tenon neck joint, new peghead and pickguard shapes, and more. Most significantly, the guitar is voiced with a more vintage-oriented tonality than what Taylor is typically known for. In this video, Taylor CEO and designer Andy Powers plays and discusses the guitar at the NAMM show in January 2005.
