Please join us for a special evening of music in Peghead Nation’s hometown of San Rafael, CA, with Compton & Newberry, two internationally recognized masters of bluegrass, old-time, country, and other traditional American music. Mike Compton (mandolin) and Joe Newberry (guitar, banjo) are each award-winning instrumentalists and songwriters, and their duo is a powerful melding of traditional and new acoustic music.

Peghead Nation is happy to bring Compton and Newberry to the beautiful new listening room, Studio Fourth Street, at 1569 4th St, San Rafael, California, on Wednesday, May 8, from 7:30 – 9:30 PM. We’ll do this house-concert style, with free admission and a suggested donation for attendees. A Compton & Newberry program features a familiar combination of tunes and songs from the great American songbag mixed with their own newly composed numbers which are already taking their rightful place in the new tradition.
