Welcome to the World of Ukuleles
Marcy Marxer explains different ukulele sizes, tunings, and sounds.
Peghead Nation ukulele instructor Marcy Marxer owns a large collection of instruments, and in this video, she explains the differences between soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone ukuleles, how they’re tuned, and what they sound like. She uses a 1930s Martin soprano, a National Reso-Phonic Triolian, her Kala Marcy Marxer Signature Model (click here for a separate demo of this instrument), a vintage Martin baritone, and a custom-made Kevin Enoch banjo uke to demonstrate a variety of ukulele sounds.
