Taylor Announces New 600 Series

Taylor Guitars’s Andy Powers discusses the company’s redesigned 600 series and the future of maple guitars.

January 22, 2015

Taylor Guitars just announced at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California, that it is completely revamping its maple 600 series for 2015. In this video, shot by Peghead Nation at the Taylor complex in El Cajon, California, Taylor master luthier Andy Powers talks about how Taylor is modifying its existing 600 series instruments to achieve a richer tone, demonstrating the results on a new 614ce grand-auditorium model. He also talks about the future of maple-body guitars and the important fact that maple can be grown and harvested in a sustainable manner. taylorguitars.com
