Todd Clinesmith Resonator
Todd Clinesmith is an Oregon-based luthier who specializes in resonator, steel, and Hawaiian-style guitars. Owned by Peghead Nation dobro instructor Mike Witcher, this koa-bodied instrument features an open body design with soundposts around the resonator and a baffle in the upper bout area. It’s outfitted with a Beard Legend cone (beardguitars.com) and a Schoonover (schoonoverresophonicguitars.com) modular spider assembly, as well as a Fishman Nashville Series pickup that Witcher uses in conjunction with a Fishman Jerry Douglas Aura pedal (fishman.com). “I got this guitar in 2008, and I love it for its warm tone and great sustain,” says Witcher.
