Tony McManus: “Roslin Castle/Vigo”
Peghead Nation Celtic Guitar instructor plays a medley of Scottish and Galician tunes.
While he was in the studio shooting video for his Peghead Nation Celtic Guitar lessons, Tony McManus took time out to play this lovely medley of Scottish and Galician tunes. Tony recorded the traditional Scottish tune “Roslin Castle” with fiddler Alasdair Fraser on their album Return to Kintail. His recording of the Galician melody “Vigo” with guitarist Soig Silberil and bassist Alain Genty appears on the compilation album The Clear Stream.
To study with Tony, enroll now in his Celtic Guitar course on Peghead Nation, where you’ll learn to play reels, jigs, airs, and other traditional forms, both fingerstyle and with a flatpick. Tony walks you through melodies and shows you how to bring tunes to life with the ornamentation that defines Irish and Scottish traditional music.
