Peghead Nation mandolin instructor Mike Compton has transcribed hundreds of Bill Monroe’s iconic mandolin tunes and solos, and he teaches many of them in his Monroe-Style Mandolin course on Peghead Nation. While he was in the studio recording a new batch of lessons, he played one of Monroe’s speedy mandolin showpieces, ”Rawhide,” backed by Peghead Nation co-founder and instructor Scott Nygaard.

Learn Bill Monroe’s mandolin style and more from Mike in his Monroe-Style Mandolin course, or guitar with Scott in his Flatpicking Guitar, Roots and Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar, and Intermediate Flatpicking Guitar courses. Enroll in Peghead Nation today!
