Peghead Nation mandolin and guitar instructors play John Hartford’s humorous blues song.

Mike Compton, Peghead Nation’s Monroe-Style Mandolin teacher, spent many years playing mandolin with (and driving the bus for) John Hartford, recording a half-dozen albums and touring extensively with the singer-songwriter-banjoist-fiddler-raconteur until Hartford’s death in 2001. While Mike was in the studio recording instructional videos for his Monroe-Style Mandolin course, he took some time out to perform this humorous blues song of Hartford’s with Peghead Nation co-founder and Flatpicking Guitar instructor Scott Nygaard.

Learn to play blues mandolin and more from Mike in his Monroe-Style Mandolin course, or guitar with Scott in his Flatpicking Guitar, Roots and Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar, and Weekly Guitar Workout courses. Enroll in Peghead Nation today!
