Twin fiddles on one of the renowned bluegrass songwriter’s most popular songs.
In her segment as guest on Brittany Haas’s Fiddle Styles Workshop, bluegrass singer/songwriter/fiddler/guitarist Laurie Lewis talked about how she incorporates her fiddle playing into her songs. In this video, she and Brittany play one of her earliest and most popular fiddle-oriented songs, “The Bear Song,” which Laurie recorded on her first recording with the Grant Street String Band. Her latest record is a tribute to Hazel and Alice and includes guest vocalists Linda Ronstadt, Alice Gerrard, and Aoife O’Donovan as well as fiddlers Tatiana Hargreaves and Peghead Nation’s Chad Manning. laurielewis.com
