Flynn Cohen teaches Peghead Nation’s Irish Backup Guitar course. In his course, Flynn teaches you how to accompany jigs and reels and other traditional Irish dance tunes in the style pioneered by Irish guitar greats Paul Brady, Mícheál Ó Dhomhnaill, and Dáithí Sproule and used at Irish seisiúns. While Flynn was in the studio recording the first lessons for his course, Peghead Nation Irish Mandolin instructor Marla Fibish stopped by to play melody on some of Flynn’s lessons, and they played a few sets of tunes to warm up. In this video, Marla and Flynn play the Irish reels “Torn Jacket” and “Toss the Feathers.”
