Ethan Setiawan performs and records with fiddler Louise Bichan in their duo Hildaland, blending their deep influences in Scottish, old-time, bluegrass, and Swedish music to craft original string music and fresh arrangements of traditional tunes from both sides of the Atlantic. While Ethan was in town recording lessons for his new Weekly Mandolin Workout course, he and Louise played a beautiful take on “Elk River Blues,” which they also recorded on their 2023 release Sule Skerry.
