Dave Rawlings Machine Performance
Watch a four-song performance by the Dave Rawlings Machine, including Peghead Nation fiddle instructor Brittany Haas, in the KEXP studio.
KEXP.ORG presents Dave Rawlings Machine performing four songs live in the KEXP studio in Seattle. Recorded October 24, 2015.
The band includes Peghead Nation’s Fiddle Styles Workshop host/instructor Brittany Haas on fiddle. Brittany played on Dave Rawlings Machine’s recent album Nashville Obsolete, and has been on a six-week tour with the band. In the interview after the performance, Dave Rawlings talks about adding string section parts to the album late in the process, and asking Brittany to play all the parts herself. No pressure!
