Peghead Nation’s Irish fiddle and mandolin teachers Dale Russ and Marla Fibish are some of the best Irish musicians in the country. Martin Hayes has called Dale Russ “one of the greatest fiddlers I know in Irish traditional music” and Marla is one of the most renowned voices on the mandolin in Irish music. We got them together recently in the Peghead Nation studio to play a couple of tunes, including this medley of Irish jigs: “Eddie Kelly’s (also known as “The Meelick Jig”) and “The Lark on the Strand.”
