Stash Wyslouch with Zoe Guigueno and Bruce Molsky: “Prodigal Son”
A trio of Peghead Nation instructors play a traditional song made popular by Dock Boggs.
Peghead Nation instructors Stash Wyslouch and Bruce Molsky have played and recorded together as part of the old-time trio Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, and in this clip taken at the Great Lakes Music Camp last year, they play Dock Boggs’ “Prodigal Son” during the instructor concert, with Peghead Nation’s bass instructor Zoe Guigueno.
Great Lakes Music Camp is held every October on the shore of Lake Michigan, in West Olive, Michigan. Each year the organizers gather a talented group of instructors to lead three days of intensive teaching, jamming, and performances, and in its seven-year history, this weekend has become a destination for bluegrass, old-time, and roots players from around the world. In 2024, there was another big Peghead Nation instructor contingent, including Mike Compton, Bruce Molsky, Zoe Guigueno, John Reischman, Emerald Rae, Ethan Setiawan, and Stash Wyslouch .
Bruce Molsky teaches Old-Time Fiddle, Old-Time Banjo, and Old-Time Fiddle Styles on Peghead Nation.
