Sean Watkins: “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go”
Guitarist, songwriter, and singer Sean Watkins plays a Bob Dylan classic live with Peghead Nation’s Scott Nygaard on guitar, Tristan Clarridge on cello, and Dominique Arciero on harmony vocals.
Sean Watkins is a busy man, touring and recording with Nickel Creek, the Watkins Family Hour, Fiction Family, his sister Sara Watkins, and his own band. The guitarist, songwriter, and singer is currently touring in support of his new solo album What to Fear, a collection of original songs recorded with members of the contemporary acoustic band the Bee Eaters and with a rhythm section of Matt Chamberlain and Mike Elizondo.
Sean was recently in Northern California where he taught at Shasta Music Summit, run by the Bee Eaters’ talented brother/sister team Tristan and Tashina Clarridge, and stopped in Peghead Nation’s neck of the woods for a fun beer-garden performance at KC Turner’s Hopmonk Novato Cookout Concert Series. He was joined by Tristan on cello, Peghead Nation’s Scott Nygaard on guitar, and Dominique Arciero on Mellotron, guitar, and vocals.
In this video clip (handheld and missing the first few lines), Sean and Dominique sing the Bob Dylan classic “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” to close out the evening.
You can learn guitar from Scott Nygaard by enrolling in his Peghead Nation courses, Flatpicking Guitar, Weekly Guitar Workout, and Roots and Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar.
