Molly Tuttle: “Gentle on My Mind”
Peghead Nation mandolin instructor Joe K. Walsh joins Molly Tuttle and an all-star band to play a John Hartford classic live at Augusta Heritage Bluegrass Week.
Every year, the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia, hosts several music and dance camps including Irish Week, Old-Time Week, Blues and Swing Week, Cajun and Creole Week, and many other intensive workshops.
Peghead Nation mandolin instructors Sharon Gilchrist and Joe K. Walsh were both instructors at this year’s Augusta Heritage Bluegrass Week, and they were joined by an amazing lineup of instructors teaching guitar, mandolin, vocals, bass, fiddle, and more to hundreds of dedicated students.
In this video from one of the instructor concerts at Bluegrass Week, Joe joins guitarist Molly Tuttle onstage to play a beautiful version of John Hartford’s classic song “Gentle on My Mind.” Also in the band are Joe Newberry on banjo, John Mailander on fiddle, and Marshall Wilborn on bass.
