Courtney Hartman: “Remember Me”
Della Mae guitarist performs the country classic at Peghead Nation’s workshop stage at the recent Fretboard Summit.
Courtney Hartman is one of the hottest young flatpickers around, but she’s also an inventive accompanist, songwriter, and singer, as anyone who’s heard the award-winning bluegrass band Della Mae can attest. Lately, with Della Mae on hiatus, Courtney has been playing solo shows and has released the mostly solo EP Nothing We Say. Her solo performance at the recent Fretboard Summit was one of the highlights of the event, as was her workshop on the Peghead Nation workshop stage, where we shot this video of her playing the country classic “Remember Me,” written by Scotty Wiseman and popularized by Willie Nelson, on her Lawrence Smart archtop. courtneyhartman.com
