Brittany Haas and Chris Thile: “Shenandoah Valley Breakdown”
Peghead Nation's Fiddle Style Workshop instructor plays a bluegrass fiddle tune with the mandolin-master-host of Live From Here.
During the run of NPR’s popular music and variety show Live From Here with Chris Thile, Brittany Hass, the master fiddler and host of Peghead Nation’s Fiddle Style Workshop, was a regular member of the powerful house band. One of the recurring segments on the show was “Fast AF,” which carries the tag lines “Fiddle tunes are safe, therapeutic, and fun. Fast AF’s research shows that fiddle tunes promote heart health, longevity, and ridiculous dancing, so don’t forget to pick a fiddle tune today, and play it fast.”
In this video, from a Summer 2019 show, Brittany and mandolin master Chris Thile stretch out on the bluegrass fiddle favorite “Shenandoah Valley Breakdown.”
In her Fiddle Styles Workshop for Peghead Nation, Brittany hosts 15 of the world’s best fiddlers, in a variety of styles, as they talk about their fiddling and teach their favorite tunes. Brittany also teaches nine of her own favorite tunes in the course. Join Brittany’s course today!
