While at our first Peghead Nation Mandolin Camp last fall, instructors Sharon Gilchrist, John Reischman, and Joe K. Walsh, and Scott Nygaard treated students to this rousing version of the fiddle tune “The Eighth of January.” It was a fun highlight of the event, which was held at Kowana Valley Folk School and Lodge near Yosemite, California in mid-October. Students spent four days immersing themselves in great instruction, with rotating classes with all instructors.
