Bill Evans’ American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame Induction
Peghead Nation banjo ambassador is recognized by America's venerable banjo organization.
Bill Evans is an internationally recognized five-string banjo life force as a performer, teacher, writer, and composer, and we’re grateful to have him as a core instructor on Peghead Nation, with five popular banjo courses. It has been a busy couple of months for Bill, inducting Alan Munde into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame as part of the 2024 IBMA Awards in September (see his performance with Alan here) and then heading to Oklahoma City in early October to be honored as a 2024 inductee in the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame for his instruction and education activities. Bill was honored alongside his fellow banjo masters Kristin Scott Benson, Ned Luberecki, Ralph Stanley, and Ken Aoki. This video shows the induction presentation, Bill’s performance during the Awards show, and his heartfelt acceptance speech.
We join the banjo and bluegrass communities in congratulating Bill on this well-deserved honor. And Bill, we thank you for all you’ve contributed and continue to contribute to our community.
